What is Islam?

Image
Introduction to Islam. [Narrated by Dr-Zakir Nayak] Islam is a Semitic religion, which has over one billion adherents all over the world. Islam means "submission to the will of God". Muslims accept the Qur’an,  as the word of God revealed to His last and final prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him). Islam states that Allah sent messengers and prophets throughout the ages with the message of Unity of God and accountability in the Hereafter. Islam thus makes it an article of faith to believe in all the earlier prophets, starting with Adam, and continuing with Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, John the Baptist and Jesus amongst many others (may peace be on them all). Concept of God The Most Concise Definition of God Surah Ikhlas - the touchstone of theology What does Islam say about ‘god-men’? By what name do we call God? God does not take human form: God does not perform ungodly acts: God only performs Godly acts: Philosophy Of Anthropomorphism The Creator prep...

Overthinking.

New Research Says Overthinking Worriers Are Probably Creative Geniuses. JOIN OUR NEWSLETTER I think we all know someone who you'd call a worrier or an overthinker. It seems like they take forever to figure out what they need to do. They might frustrate us, but according to a recent study, people with these traits often have them because they're incredibly developed, creative people. Researchers at King's College in London made the connection between anxiety and a stronger imagination as well. According to Dr. Adam Perkins, an expert in Neurobiology of Personality: “It occurred to me that if you happen to have a preponderance of negatively hued self-generated thoughts, due to high levels of spontaneous activity in the parts of the medial prefrontal cortex that govern conscious perception of threat and you also have a tendency to switch to panic sooner than average people, due to possessing especially high reactivity in the basolateral nuclei of the amygdale, then that means ...

Socrates Lessons for a better Life.

17 Life Changing Lessons to Learn From Socrates If there’s one thing I’ve learned from Socrates is you can’t teach people anything. No matter how hard you try, you’re never going to teach them anything. You can only make people think. You help open their eyes and realize what they are capable of. Here are 17 of the best quotes and life changing lessons we can take from Socrates. Did we miss your favorite Socrates quotes? Share it in the comments below! 1. You have to be as you want to seem. No faking! “The shortest and surest way to live with honor in the world, is to be in reality what we would appear to be; and if we observe, we shall find, that all human virtues increase and strengthen themselves by the practice of them.” 2. Virtue does not come from money. “I do nothing but go about persuading you all, old and young alike, not to take thought for your persons or your properties, but and chiefly to care about the greatest improvement of the soul. I tell you that virtue is not given ...

Behavior.

Behavior. 1. The ability to accurately identify your own emotions, as well as those of others 2. The ability to utilize emotions and apply them to tasks, like thinking and problem-solving 3. The ability to manage emotions, including controlling your own, as well as the ability to cheer up or calm down another person The concept of emotional intelligence has been around since 1990, when Yale psychologists John D. Mayer and Peter Salvoes presented the concept to the academic world. But Goleman has gone on to study it further—and he found a direct relationship between the EI of a company’s staff and the company’s success: • Employees with a high level of EI have self-awareness that helps them understand co-workers and meet deadlines. • When people have high EI, they are not bothered by client criticism; they remain focused on outcomes, rather than feeling offended. • If two job candidates have similar IQs, the one with the higher EI will likely be a better fit for the company. Like Golema...

The Miracles of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). At this point I would like to bring to the notice of the reader that the Prophet (SAW) was granted many miracles by Allah (the lord of the heaven and the earth) and of them are as follows . The Holy Quran is the   living miracle of Allah upon Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and this, Allah’s Book, was revealed to him through the “Ruh-ul-Qudus” (Gabriel).Today 1400 years has passed and nobody has been able to change a single or produce its imitation, as it is said in the “Quran”(See Surah Hijr, V, 15;9) and the statement of the Prophet (SAW):” Before me, every Prophet was given a miracle and they practised it during their lifetime; e.g., “Iesa” (Jesus) used to cure the sick and make the   dead alive , etc., “Musa” (Moses) was given the stick etc . And I have been given the permanent miracle of the “Quran” till the Hour is established, so I hope that my followers will be more in number than the other Messenger’s as my miracle will last till the...

Avoid.......!

Avoid……..! Right now, millions of hackers, spammers and scammers are hard at work. They’re after your Social Security number, bank account information and social media accounts. With any of these, they can steal your money or trick your friends into giving up theirs. 1. Phishing scams. Lucky you! A Nigerian prince has selected you to help smuggle millions out of his country. For a little bit of effort — a few simple wire transfers — you’ll get a substantial cut. What could be easier? I bet you’re asking yourself, “Who would fall for that?” Well, tens of thousands of people do every year. That’s why Nigerian scams, known as 419 scams, are still very popular. Other versions might say you won a contest or have a job offer. Maybe someone wants to meet you, or you can make money for shipping some goods. The catch is that you have to send in personal or banking information, or pay a fee. Of course, your information and money is going straight to hackers. Use common sense before reacting to a...
